The location will be Gijon but in contact with services legal entities throughout the globe.

Key responsibilities will include supervising the work of an outsourced third party accounting service provider, and collaborating closely with HR Payroll Operations, HR Benefits, Business Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and disclosure of payroll and benefit related costs for designated legal entities. Critical success factors for candidates will include a highly collaborative work style, the ability to anticipate problems, proactively deal with difficult and complex situations, communicate appropriately with all levels of stakeholders, and to handle confidential information discretely. Must have strong organizational, problem-solving and closure skills; strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills with different stakeholders and levels of professionals and management.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for monthly accounting close for accounts in SAP ledgers including reconciling of accounting system postings.
Responsible for accounting and reconciliation.
Monitors and resolve cash accounting issues with Treasury.
Perform a flux analysis of pay costs and liabilities to ensure reasonableness. Analyze transactions for appropriate classification and compliance with generally accepted accounting standards and accounting policy.

The following is required for this role:
Bachelors Degree in Business or Accounting Field.
2 or more years of accounting experience.
Experience with SAP.
Experience working across various jurisdictions (multistate and/or multinational).
Works independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong Internal Controls able to maintain strict confidentiality (candidate has access to compensation data).
Ability to work self-sufficiently on assigned tasks.
